10多年前我在南都的地球周刊栏目第一次知道Yuchi这种濒危语言的存在。文章说，全世界只有5个人能流利使用Yuchi。这点和这个纪录短片吻合（2012年时增至8人）。Yuchi是孤立语言，男性和女性的使用语言方式也不一样。记得之前**的短史记讲到满语之所以消亡是因为语言本身能承载的文明体量有限。这在人文历史上来看是有道理，但是在文化语言多样性来说还是有点偏颇。
