After Irving Randall loses his weekly paycheck in a poker **** with friends from work, he can't bear to tell his wife the truth so he tells her he was mugged on his way home. The tale gets complicated when she insists that he report it to the police. The police subsequently inform however him that they have arrested the mugger and return his money to him.
